On the initiative of the head of state, a system has been set up to work individually with young people who are unaffiliated and have not found their place in society — helping them adapt to social life, live a healthy lifestyle and spend their free time meaningfully — with responsible ministries and agencies assigned to each of them.
Under this system, a working group led by Sherzod Uzoqov, Vice-Rector for youth affairs and moral and educational work at Mirzo Ulugbek Samarkand State Technical University, held meetings with young people needing social protection in the “Qiyqim”, “Pangat”, “Shova” and “Minishkor” mahallas of Qo‘shrabot district.
During the meetings the young people's problems were studied, and practical help was given to draw them into social life, secure them employment, and encourage them towards education and vocational training.
