The university's Rector Dr. Chidem Turkyilmaz is currently on a working visit to the People's Republic of China to take part in events held as part of the 1st China–Central Asia Meeting of Ministers of Education.
Today he visited the Langke Automation Equipment Co., Ltd. industrial enterprise in Xintai, China, where the prospects for long-term cooperation with the company's management were discussed, from technological research and development through to production.
During the visit, Shi Kedong, Deputy Director of Langke Automation Equipment Co., Ltd., and the university's Rector Dr. Chidem Turkyilmaz also attended the formal opening of an Incubation Centre set up as a result of the cooperation between the university and the foreign company.
The establishment of this Incubation Centre is not only a renewal of the partnership between the university and the enterprise but also a new starting point for the two sides' deeper integration in education, science, technology and industry. It was noted that this serves as an important direction for cooperation, based on jointly training new talent, jointly researching and developing technologies, and the principle of a "university–industry–innovation" chain.
