Under the “Pressing 90 Days” programme, Mirzo Ulugbek Samarkand State Technical University is holding a series of events aimed at developing its young people's creative and intellectual potential.
A screening of the historical drama “Bahodir Yalangtosh”, arranged on the initiative of the dean of students, sparked young people's interest in national history. Through the film, students learned more about the life, political courage and architectural legacy of Yalangtosh Bahodir.
A casting call for the “Ulugbek's Heirs” theatre troupe was also held successfully, to bring talented young people into stage art. The students showed their stage delivery, emotional expression and acting skill, leaving a good impression on the judges.
Events like these do much to enrich students' moral outlook, strengthen their sense of patriotism and encourage them towards an active life.
