The international workshop on social and spatial processes in residential areas has come to a close at the university.
Over the programme the participants gained valuable practical experience of analysing the urban environment on the example of Samarkand's microdistricts, running field studies and using cartography and visual-storytelling tools. The workshop combined theory with hands-on sessions.
At the closing stage the certificates were ceremonially presented by the university's rector, Chidem Turkyilmaz. The project was carried out with the support of the British Council; the workshop was organised by Art Station with Dona Kulmatova and Anastasiya Galimova (Uzbekistan), Omar Nagati (CLUSTER, Egypt) and Elisa Wynne-Hughes (Cardiff University, United Kingdom).
