Dr. Chidem Turkyilmaz, rector of Mirzo Ulugbek Samarkand State Technical University, is currently on an official visit to the People's Republic of China.
During the visit the rector visited the “HENGDA” construction quality control bureau to see its experience of organising construction processes to a high standard.
At “China Medical City” — a national-level biomedicine and high-technology zone — she reviewed international innovation projects and the integration of education with production.
At the “SUN Cement” plant she familiarised herself closely with modern cement production technologies and their use in construction.
The main purpose of the meetings is to further develop cooperation between SDTU and China's leading organisations, set up study-placement programmes in China for students, gain international experience and expand future employment opportunities.
