On 18, 19 and 20 August 2025, entrance exams will be held at Mirzo Ulugbek Samarkand State Technical University for applicants who have submitted documents for a second or subsequent form of higher education.
Depending on the number of applicants, the exams will take the form of an interview (one on one) or a test.
In the interview format, each applicant is asked 3 questions: the substance of the country's reforms in their field, their personal motivation for the chosen programme, and their personal and professional skills and achievements. Assessment is on a 100-point scale: question 1 — 40 points, question 2 — 20 points, question 3 — 40 points; an applicant scoring 57.6 points or above is considered to have passed. The interview is held under video surveillance.
In the test format, applicants are given a total of 50 minutes (2 minutes each) for 25 questions; each correct answer is worth 4 points, with a maximum score of 100. Results are announced within 24 hours of the exam ending.
The date and time of the exam are communicated to each applicant individually; an applicant who does not attend the interview will not be given a repeat interview in that academic year.
