On 17 September 2025, Mirzo Ulugbek Samarkand State Technical University will hold a contest of innovative developments and projects addressing environmental problems.
Students, master's students and doctoral candidates aged 18–35 may take part; each participant or team may enter only one project, and teams of 2–3 people may include students with knowledge and experience in specialised fields.
Contest categories: environmental protection and waste recycling; renewable energy sources; innovative environmental technologies and equipment.
Requirements for projects: they must address an environmental problem, present a technical prototype or model, be grounded in economic efficiency and environmental benefit, and demonstrate efficient use of resources and energy saving.
Prize fund: 1st place — 6,000,000 so‘m (with a place in the national round), 2nd place — 4,000,000 so‘m, 3rd place — 2,000,000 so‘m.
The contest will be held on 17 September at 10:00 at the SDTU Incubation Centre, Main Building, room 114.
