One of the country's great dates — the 34th anniversary of the adoption of the State Flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan — was widely celebrated. The cultural event held to mark it, “One Motherland, one people, one flag!”, was a spirited occasion.
It opened with a stage decorated in the colours of the Uzbek flag, the national anthem and poetry written for the Motherland. The participants — veterans, staff, outreach workers and students — expressed their deep respect for and devotion to the symbols of the country.
The educational part of the programme showed slides on the history of the State Flag, while the artistic part — poems, films and stage scenes — gave the celebration its particular character.
