Mirzo Ulugbek Samarkand State Technical University announces a competition for faculty positions in 7 fields of study. There are 14 posts in total — 2 per field, depending on academic degree and title.
Fields: Information Systems and Technologies; Electrical Engineering; Power Engineering; Chemical Engineering; Metallurgical Engineering; Mechatronics and Robotics; Clothing and Textiles.
Positions: professor, associate professor, senior lecturer, lecturer, trainee lecturer.
Main requirements: higher education in the relevant or a related field; an academic degree/title matching the position, or a master's degree; the minimum score set under the KPI criteria; ability to teach in the state language; skill in working with modern educational technologies, field-specific software and laboratory equipment; adherence to the principles of academic integrity. The ability to teach in Russian or English is an additional advantage.
Documents: an application addressed to the rector, a CV, a copy of passport or ID card, diplomas and their supplements, documents confirming academic degree/title, a list of research and teaching-methodology works, documents confirming employment history, and certificates (if any). Documents are accepted in Uzbek, Russian or English.
Selection stages: document review, assessment of scientific-pedagogical and practical activity, an interview with the commission, a sample open lesson or scientific presentation, and review of the results by the university's authorised body.
