On 28 November a meeting with a delegation of the V. I. Vernadsky Crimean Federal University was held at Mirzo Ulugbek Samarkand State Technical University.
The delegation comprised Sergey Yurchenko, First Vice-Rector and Vice-Rector for international activity and information policy; Gevorg Gabrielyan, head of the international activity directorate; Aleksandr Mashchenko, director of the Institute of Media Communications, Media Technologies and Design; Anatoliy Rogozenko, director of the Academy of Agrotechnology; Elmar Mennanov, director of the Academy of Construction and Architecture; Aleksandr Bedritskiy, director of the Tavrichesky information and analysis centre; and Oksana Ivchenko, head of the international cooperation and protocol division.
The meeting discussed widening cooperation in education, science and culture, and a memorandum on cooperation in those fields was signed between the two universities.
The visit closed with a tour of the university's new teaching building for the guests.
