To encourage young people towards enlightenment and raise their moral and legal literacy, Mirzo Ulugbek Samarkand State Technical University held a round table on “Fighting ignorance with enlightenment” and “The priority of human dignity and rights — the foundation of progress”.
The event was led by Sherzod Uzoqov, First Vice-Rector for youth affairs and moral and educational work. It was attended by Soxibnazar Boymurodov, head of the Samarkand regional territorial department of the Committee for Religious Affairs, rector's adviser Jamol Jo‘rayev, and university students.
In his address, Soxibnazar Boymurodov dwelt in particular on ignorance and religious tolerance, stressing the importance of protecting young people from misinformation and extremist influence, and of building a foundation for stability and progress in society based on religious tolerance, human rights and legal culture.
The round table served to strengthen young people's moral immunity and guide them onto the right path.
