The ceremony opened with a video showing how Japanese and Uzbek students and teachers had built teahouses together.
University Rector Dr. Chidem Turkyilmaz, Professor Dr. Takeshi Shiratori of Setsunan University in Japan, and Dr. Dilnoza Kamalova, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, then presented certificates and keepsakes to the participants.
During the event, the Japanese students shared their impressions of the workshop in Uzbek, and the Uzbek students shared theirs in Japanese.
Over almost three weeks, the students had not only gained new practical knowledge and experience but also formed lasting friendships, and they spoke of already missing one another.
