Sometimes thinking about the life you want to live is not enough to shake off laziness. The house you want to live in, the car you want to drive, the job you want to have, the person you want to marry, travelling to a different country every year — sometimes imagining these things is not enough to make you get up and study, get up and work.
I have one suggestion for you. From time to time, picture the life you would not want to live too: all the pain, the heartache, the constant debt, having to ask people for money and beg for help, your family having to live in economic hardship where they work in different places for different people, not being able to take your child to a good doctor when they are ill, not being able to do anything for your parents when they need you — think through these things too.
Imagine, years from now, when you have reached a certain age, regretting and thinking “oh, I could have done so much.” Think about the life you would be forced to live if you failed to do everything you needed to do for your daily bread to come. Perhaps that thought will help you get up and work!
