Tutors of the students' dean's office of Mirzo Ulugbek Samarkand State Technical University organised a further excursion for students of the Faculty of Construction, under the “Travel across the Motherland!” project of the President of Uzbekistan's “90 Pressing Days” programme.
During the trip, students visited Shoirlar Xiyoboni (the Poets' Park) and the memorial house-museum of the famous writer Sadriddin Ayniy in Samarkand. During the excursion, students were given detailed information about Sadriddin Ayniy's life and work, his invaluable contribution to the development of Uzbek and Tajik literature, and the historical significance of these sites.
The event was held to broaden students' cultural and educational outlook and to raise their respect for and attention to our historical heritage.
