On the initiative of the Deanery of Students of Mirzo Ulugbek Samarkand State Technical University, students visited the mausoleum of Amir Temur and the historic pavilion at Bog‘i Dilkusho in Samarkand, to mark the 689th anniversary of the birth of the great commander and statesman Amir Temur.
During the visit the students learned closely about Amir Temur's great works, his policy of building and creation, and the historical significance of these architectural monuments.
A scientific and educational event was also held in cooperation with the academic lyceum attached to SDTU, at which views were shared on the personality, policy and historical legacy of Amir Temur.
In addition, a round-table discussion on moral and educational themes was organised at the activists' hall of the university's five initiative centres, with the participation of students living in dormitories no. 1 and no. 4.
